Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Required at the Hereford County Hospital - £15.00 per Hour
Echo Healthcare Services are currently looking for Health Care Assistants to work on various wards in a busy hospital environment situated in the centre of Hereford.
We are looking to invest in people who are committed to a career in caring in a hospital environment to work as part of our team to provide an excellent patient experience.
The Job is patient focused, front of house, in a fast-paced environment. The role is to provide clinical care and support for children, Adults and their families across all specialty teams.
Full training is provided and you will be able to choose many shifts and across three sites and we may offer accommodation (subject to availability)
As a Health Care Assistant your responsibility is to ensure that all patients including children and their families' inpatient and outpatient journey is a positive experience.
Echo Healthcare Services will provide a Full Enhanced DBS (no charge) full professional Uniform, Full Online Video - Maxims & EOBS Training, Update Yearly Mandatory Training (including Manual Practical Handling)
Main duties of the job
• Have a range of clinical and administrative tasks.
• Setting up clinic rooms
• Preparing patients to be seen by a doctor by taking measurements, obtaining specimens and recording vital signs
• Communicating effectively with families
• Deliver Personnel Care

• Able to communicate accurately and effectively with patients, families and colleagues, verbally and in writing.
• Able to input and retrieve data / information safely and correctly using patient record systems
• Able to meet timekeeping and attendance requirements
• Able to provide essential care to patients as directed
• Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Demonstrates a caring and compassionate approach to patients, families and colleagues
• Ability to organise and conduct own work
• Work in a professional manner and in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support workers
• Has the ability to recognise situations that require reporting and demonstrates the ability to escalate to a senior person where appropriate.
• Knowledge and understanding of the health service
• Knowledge and experience of giving care in a multi-cultural environment

Rates of Pay
• £15.00 per hour any shift, day or night
