PMB Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Full Time Permanent Vehicle Technician in the West Bromwich Area.
Job Summary
Working at our client’s Service Centre facility at West Bromwich, the day-to-day duties are to provide service and repair to our company vehicles, customer vehicles and a wide range of specialist converted vehicles, as well as providing Technical support at any regional events we hold. Additionally, provide support to our senior technician in the installation and testing of a range of specialist vehicle accessory products.
Key responsibilities and will include:
• Service repairs and maintenance on the company owned vehicle fleets.
• Service repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles when required.
• Produce reports on vehicle defects when detected for analysis by the technical service team.
• Conduct technical investigation on field related issues in support of the technical service team.
• Specific vehicle system testing and evaluation for the compilation of reports to the vehicle manufacturers.
• Provide installation and installation evaluation of the accessory range when required.
• Produce reports to enable the accessory team to assess the viability of the proposed product and if required correct and or write the accessory installation instructions.
• Assist the technical team with its evaluation of the accessory where required.
• Support our Events/PR team with regional promotional sales shows.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum 5 years’ experience working within a busy franchise dealer or vehicle conversion business, have experience of working on alternative fuel powered vehicles, have a good working knowledge of connected car technology APP integration and have all relevant BTech or City and Guilds Automotive Technical qualifications including IMI Level 4 Award Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and have the following skill set.
• Have good I.T Skills – including but not limited to MS Office suite of products
• GCSE in Maths and English
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous
• Professional and polite
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to time manage, multi-task, and prioritise
• Ability to work as part of a team or using own initiative
Hours of work: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,000
