Job Title Business Support Manager
Location: Walsall, Midlands
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: £35,500 - £45,500 per year

About Us

SSK Business Services, a Midlands-based company, provides IT services, including web development, portal management, and is currently developing its own vocational qualification product. We are looking for a Business Support Manager to support our development team, drive sales, and conduct research to enhance our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Assist the development team in creating and refining the company’s own vocational qualification product.
✔ Support sales and business growth strategies to expand market reach.
✔ Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and industry trends.
✔ Work closely with the Director to execute business plans and strategies.
✔ Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

✔ Experience in business development, IT services, or sales.
✔ Strong understanding of web development, portal management, or IT-related services.
✔ Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✔ Full UK driving licence preferred.

SSK Business Services is looking for qualified intern to join our web development team who must have basic knowledge on software coding, web and app development and software technologies such as PHP, MEAN, MERN and React Native. As an intern of the company, you will be working with the head developer, working on mobile and web applications, coding and all sorts of software technology duties.

Skills Required for Internship

The ability to programme effectively (in any language)
Curiosity about new technologies
Good at collaborating and communicating within a team setting.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS3, and OOPS concepts
A good technical understanding of the whole web development
stack

If anyone/more of the following desirable skills are greatly welcomed:

· Solid understanding in the fundamentals of programming and a good level of confidence working with at least one modern, high-level programming language (PHP/JavaScript/Java/Python)

· Some object-orientated knowledge of a modern programming language (We mostly use PHP/JavaScript)

· Some knowledge of relational databases

· Any experience in modern web frameworks/ecosystems such as: Laravel/CodeIgniter/Angular/WordPress

Responsibilities: After the completion of your Internship as a web developer, you'll need to:

- write code in one or more programming or scripting
languages, such as PHP or JavaScript.
- plan and prototype new applications
- design the architecture of the components of an application.
- decide on the best technologies and languages for the project.
- test sites and applications in different browsers and
environments
- problem-solve.
- fix bugs in existing projects.
- test new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the
correct task in all cases
- run performance benchmarking tests.
- review colleagues' code
- build and test Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for
applications to exchange data
- research, incorporate and contribute to Open-Source projects
- meet designers, developers and project staff for progress
updates
- gather requirements from clients and users
- learn and test new technologies, frameworks and languages
- stay up to date with new trends and advancements in web
development
- build and maintain databases
- carry out code refactoring and optimization of existing code
- document code, so other developers can understand and
contribute to it
- attend and speak at web development conferences and
workshops
- design information architecture within an application or
website.

Education: Bachelor's in computer science(preferred), BTEC IT Diploma

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Contract length: 60 months
