Yesterday were delighted to officially open our brand-new Freesia Unit at Cherry Holt.

Purpose-designed to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for people with a range of individual needs, Freesia represents an exciting addition to Cherry Holt and the support we’re able to offer.

The new unit also features The Lavender Suite – a dedicated one-to-one living suite, thoughtfully designed to provide a more individualised environment and tailored support.

To mark the occasion, Managing Director Adam Knights officially cut the ribbon, accompanied by Mental Health Director Elijah and Home Manager Laura. We were also pleased to welcome Amy from our local commissioning team, who joined us to celebrate the opening and see the new facilities.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing the Freesia Unit to life.

We’re incredibly proud to see the doors officially open and look forward to the positive difference this new space will make for the people we support.

From one conversation to a partnership across every Knights Care home. 💜

We're delighted to celebrate an important milestone in our partnership with Relish as every Knights Care home now use the platform to capture and celebrate the everyday experiences of our residents.

While this marks an exciting achievement, the story behind the partnership started with something much simpler: a conversation.

In late 2024, a conversation between our Marketing Lead, Amy, and one of our relatives highlighted a simple but important challenge: when families couldn't visit, they felt disconnected from their loved one's everyday life. That conversation sparked a question that became the foundation of our partnership with Relish Wellbeing: how could we help families feel closer to the experiences their loved ones continue to enjoy?

We began trialling Relish Wellbeing later that year, and what started with one conversation has since grown into a partnership across every Knights Care home. Listening to feedback from residents, families and our staff has helped shape the journey, and recent family survey feedback has reinforced just how valuable those everyday updates are in helping loved ones feel connected.

One relative shared:
"I have really enjoyed seeing what my mum gets involved in and seeing her smile. It's reassuring to know there's always something on offer, even if she doesn't always choose to take part."

A huge thank you to Sam Thomson and the entire Relish Wellbeing team for supporting us every step of the way. We're excited to continue building on this partnership and helping even more families share in the everyday stories and experiences that make our homes so special.

What a fantastic evening at the Dementia Care Awards in London! ✨

It was a real privilege to be part of such a prestigious event and to see six finalists from Knights Care recognised across a range of categories.

The evening was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the amazing work being done every day to support people living with dementia and their families.

A huge congratulations to all our finalists — it was a pleasure to share this special evening with you and celebrate this achievement together. 💙

We’re delighted to announce an exciting new chapter in our digital journey — we’re creating brand new dedicated websites for each of our homes, designed to showcase the unique personality and communities that make each one truly special.

As part of this exciting project, we’ve been capturing the heart of our homes through photography days with our amazing residents, visitors and staff - celebrating the moments that make each home unique.
