Will AI replace accountants? We don't think so.

There's no doubt that AI and automation are transforming the finance profession. But from our perspective, the real value of finance professionals has never been in producing numbers. It's in understanding what those numbers mean to help businesses with their data driven decision making.

After attending the ICAS Future Skills of the Finance Profession event, our Accountancy & Finance recruiter, Ryan Mollins, reflects on how the profession is evolving and why skills such as professional judgement, commercial awareness and effective communication will be more important than ever.

As businesses increasingly look to finance teams to act as strategic partners, the strongest professionals will be those who can combine technical expertise with the ability to influence decisions, challenge thinking and provide meaningful insight.

We’re a team of dog lovers at Change, so today being International Dog Day is the perfect excuse for us to introduce some of our loyal companions who support our team from home (and sometimes in the office!)

Hybrid working has given many of us the opportunity to spend more time with our dogs, from morning walks before logging on to lunchtime breaks and the occasional interruption during a video call. They bring balance to busy days and a little extra joy to the week.
