As I prepare to finally close the doors on this chapter, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s ever followed, liked, shared or interacted with this page.

Whether you were a candidate, a client, a curious onlooker or a kind supporter, your time, engagement, and encouragement over the years has meant a lot. Truly.

After 23 years in recruitment (including 6 of them running Bespoke), I’ve taken a big leap into something completely different and I’m loving the change so far.

Just over a week ago, I announced that I was closing the business (and I really appreciate all your kind words,thank you!).

Naturally, closing a business doesn’t happen overnight; it takes a few months to get everything in order. Part of that process involves offboarding from service providers and wrapping up outstanding contracts.

Over the past week, I’ve been working through this with various organisations, and I want to give a particular shoutout to Hollie and the team at Paiger ( https://paiger.co/). They’ve been absolutely fantastic throughout.

Offboarding is just as important as onboarding, and the way Hollie and the team have handled it has been superb, credit where credit is due!

If you work in the recruitment space and haven’t checked out Paiger, I highly recommend you do. It’s a great platform backed up by even better service.

Anyway… back to painting now, these walls aren’t going to paint themselves 🖌️

This week, I reached a decision that marks the end of an era for me, Bespoke Recruitment will be closing its doors, and once the necessary steps are completed, I’ll be stepping away from the recruitment industry for the first time in 23 years.

It’s been an incredible journey, Six years of running my own business and over two decades in an industry that’s given me so much. The people I’ve met, the businesses I’ve supported, and the careers I’ve helped shape have made it all worthwhile.

To everyone who has been part of this adventure, clients, candidates, colleagues, and friends I have to say a huge...
..THANK YOU 🙏🏼.

Your support, trust, and connections have meant the world.

As one chapter closes, another begins…I'm not 100% sure what that looks like as yet but I know Mrs Whittle has plenty of projects and decorating lined up whilst I figure that one out.

Interesting to read this morning that pay and benefits remain the top priorities for job seekers, according to Blackhawk Network's latest survey.

Here's a snapshot of their findings 📊

💷 40% rank pay as their top priority.

💡 26% value benefits the most.

⚖️ 84% feel their roles have changed, with 16% experiencing increased workloads without a pay raise.

🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑 71% say they'd be more loyal with better pay.

🙏🏼Nearly half want more frequent recognition and rewards, and 79% say it makes them feel valued

📅31% favour a four-day workweek for loyalty.

🏢59% would return to the office with a pay hike.

🎤 Meet the Speaker: KEVIN MOORE from Windseal Double Glazing

🌟This week, I’m excited to introduce Kevin Morre as a proud BNI Godiva member and owner of Windseal Double Glazing.

Kevin started the business in 1992 with a simple mission to break away from the rest of the crowd and professionally conduct his business. Every job is manufactured by Windseal, from doors, porches, windows and conservatories. They are fully Fensa Certified and UK Trade Confederation approved, and all of their installations can be covered by an insurance-backed guarantee.

🗣 We asked Kevin three questions to uncover more about his business and the person behind it:

1️⃣ What inspired you to start (or join) your business, and what drives you to succeed?

I wanted a better life, so I took it upon myself to make it happen.

2️⃣ What’s a common misconception about your industry, and how do you tackle it?

In the 1980s, the double-glazing industry struggled with a poor reputation due to high-pressure sales tactics and substandard fitting. I’m proud to have worked tirelessly to challenge that perception and I continue to uphold the highest standards to this day. As I often tell my BNI Colleagues, "I'm a Tradesman, not a Salesman"

3️⃣ Outside of work, what’s one surprising thing people might not know about you?

I'm a skilled cook and a talented artist. (if you visit Kevin's showroom, you'll see some of his artwork on display). I'm also a passionate guitarist and previously worked as a music teacher at a local school in Coventry.
