I have a few events with young people coming up in November in schools in Brighton/Hove.
If anyone wants to give back to the 'yooth!' and can spare a few hours to talk to young people in small groups about their job then please get in touch! Most businesses will allow you some time to do this or if you are your own boss give yourself a few hours off ;) I'm always on the look out to showcase the weird and wonderful and more known paths that humans take so let me know if this is something you'd be up for!

We hiring!! Get Career Confident is looking for a new videographer! Please share :)

Get Career Confident (GCC) is looking for an enthusiastic videographer to work with us to:
Create relevant and relatable short films for young people on the topics of education, careers and the world of work.
Create materials for the flagship What Next Sussex event which airs on 17th October 2023
The work will involve filming and editing, with film work taking place in locations across Sussex.

You will work with Elev8Careers and Sussex Learning Network to deliver materials for the Get Career Confident (GCC) programme and What Next Sussex. GCC is available free of charge to young people, their parents/carers and teachers across Sussex, it is funded by the Office for Students Uni Connect programme, which runs until July 2024. The contract will be with Sussex Learning Network.
We invite you to send in a short proposal that outlines your suitability to work on the Get Career Confident programme, along with details of your day rate for filming and editing, plus links to any of your relevant previous work. Please email your info to Charlie Field on [email protected]
Deadline to respond to the call is Friday 4th August 2023
This is a freelance role and work will be agreed on an ad-hoc basis throughout the academic year 2023-24. What Next Sussex needs to be delivered by 17th October and so there will be days required in September and October 2023.
