The DMB Tourism Awards are back, and we are so excited to be part of it again this year.

The Announcement of Finalists Event is taking place on Thursday 17th September at the Captain's Club Hotel and Spa in Christchurch, and we cannot wait to be in the room with the very best of our local tourism and events industry.

Every year, this evening reminds us just how much incredible talent and passion there is right here in our area. It is always such a brilliant night.

What a summer it has been. 🌞

Cheese and chilli festivals across the South. Agricultural shows celebrating the very best of country life. Pride weekends full of joy and colour. Weddings at some of the most stunning venues in Dorset. B**r festivals, food festivals, corporate conferences and everything in between.

Hundreds of shifts. Dozens of events. One brilliant team showing up wherever the event takes us.

We have worked alongside incredible clients, visited venues that genuinely took our breath away and built a team that we are more proud of than ever.

And the best bit? We are not done yet, we are just warming up for conferences and exhibitions, Christmas parties and all the other brilliant events the autumn and winter months have in store.

What a brilliant couple of days at the Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show.

Farming, food and country life at its very best, and our team had the most amazing time being part of it, working with Hall & Woodhouse. There is something really special about an agricultural show that brings a whole community together like this, and the atmosphere across both days was brilliant from start to finish. We even made some new friends, swipe to see them.

Dorset really does do this kind of thing better than anywhere. 💛

This time last year we were deep in an incredible summer of events, and this year has been no different. 🌞

In fact, if anything, it has been even bigger, with more events, more clients, more brilliant team members out on site doing what they do best. The partnerships we have built just keep going from strength to strength, and the response to our job ads this summer has been the biggest we have ever seen.

And the best bit? There is still plenty more to come.

Seven years in, and this is still the best job in the world. We just wanted to share a massive thank you to our incredible team, old and new.

There is a lot more to running a bar at a large-scale event than most people realise.

And we should know; we have been putting the right people behind the right bars for over seven years.

It starts as soon as we are on site. Making sure everything is right, and everything is set up; there is no time to go back when the customers start flowing. Our team know this because we make sure they are properly briefed, prepared and ready.

Festival bars at peak times are one of the most high-pressure environments in hospitality: hundreds of people, long queues, hot weather and no room for error. But when you have the right team together, something brilliant happens. They find their rhythm, they look out for each other, and suddenly even the busiest shift feels manageable. Not just a group of people, but a team that actually works.

And when it is all done, and the site is quiet again, there is nothing quite like it.
