Pride is a time for celebration, but it’s also an opportunity to reflect on inclusion through a broader lens.

The JDR team recently joined Onvero for their insightful Pride at Work webinar, where one of our key takeaways was the importance of intersectionality. It served as a powerful reminder that while we celebrate diversity and champion underrepresented communities, we must also remain aware of where our own privileges lie.

The discussion highlighted how meaningful inclusion is often shaped by the small, everyday actions we take to ensure people feel valued, respected and able to be themselves at work. Creating truly inclusive workplaces starts with understanding different experiences, challenging our perspectives, and continuing to learn from one another.

Why are Team JDR taking on the Derian House Children’s Hospice Colour Run?

The reality is that it costs around £6 million a year to run the hospice, with only 12% funded by the government. That means community fundraising efforts like this play a huge part in helping keep their doors open for families who need them most.

The money raised can offer families in need:
❤️ Specialist Care: Palliative and end-of-life care that is free to every family.
💛 Home-from-Home Facilities: Funding state-of-the-art sensory rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, and a cinema for the children.
🧡 Family Support: Provides holistic, practical and emotional support and advice for families throughout their journey.
💚 Respite: Giving parents a much-needed break while their children are cared for in a safe, fun, and loving environment.

We’ve proudly partnered with Derian House for just over a year, and we want to make this our biggest contribution yet!
