If preparing for your marketing interview is overwhelming, here are a few practical tips:

Do:

✅ Give Concrete Examples: Share specific campaigns you've worked on and their results.
✅ Give Data-Driven Insights: Show how you use analytics to inform strategies.
✅ Stay Current: Mention recent trends or tools you're proficient with.
✅ Evidence Problem-Solving Skills: Give examples where you've overcome marketing challenges.
✅ Bring a Portfolio: Bring a portfolio/ this can be digital also. Visuals and case studies speak volumes.

Dont:

❌ Assume the interviewer knows your employer thoroughly, or at all.
❌ Assume your role is the same as anyone else's
❌ Forget to enjoy it! Even if the role isn't for you it's a great opportunity to connect with someone in your sector and understand another business.

Also:

🙂 Good = showing you have the skill
😊 Better = showing you have the skill and when you've used it
😁 Best = showing you have the skill, when you've used it and what that's meant for the business.
