Fantastic news.

Professional Apprenticeships are excited to be involved in a project being run by The Education and Training Foundation called Apprenticeship Workforce Development Working in Partnership with ourselves (Seren Skills Network), College But Different and Kids Planet.

We are delighted for Professional Apprenticeships who are extremely proud to have won this project bid as the only group of Independent Training Providers.

This involves finding best practices in the sector to improve outcomes for apprentices. The project is about the skill development needed to ensure that End Point Assessments (EPA) are successful first-time round, and that apprentices are fully prepared to achieve the best possible outcomes. Yasin Sallu and Carina Bush (Professional Apprenticeships Director) will be working on this project over the next 6 months where they will be carrying out primary research (e.g. observations, interviews and surveys) with their tutors, learners and employers. They will then be analysing the information to spot trends and patterns. All of the findings will be shared on the ETF website and they will produce some handy guides for learners, employers and tutors.

Did you know that today is international Tea Day!

Here are some interesting facts about the good old cuppa...
☕ There are 165 million cups of tea drunk in Britain every day!
☕ That's an average of about 2.5 per person
☕ Tea was first brought to Britain in the early 17th century by the East India Company, as an expensive product it was one only for the rich and often kept under lock and key.
☕ The UK is surprisingly not the biggest tea-drinking nation! Can you guess which country drinks the most tea per capita? (It's Turkey!)
☕ There are over 1500 different varieties of tea and millions of different blends.
☕ Traditionally milk was poured into the cup to protect the fine China. It caught on and is now a tea tradition.

So instead of your mid morning coffee - grab yourself a brew!

Hello Monday

Always great on a Monday to receive lovely feedback from one of our candidates.

We always do our best for those that choose to talk to us about the new opportunities and challenges they are seeking. Even if, on occasion, we are not able to find the perfect opportunity, we will be first in line to congratulate them and join in their delight.

For us the most important thing to remember is that the candidate is happy, excited and ready to start on a new path.

We were so sorry to hear the sad news yesterday that were closing and wish to offer our support to any staff now looking for new opportunities.

Having worked with several people recently that have found themselves in the same unfortunate position we understand the shock you may be feeling. There is a lot of advice available to support with using your LinkedIn network effectively, updating your CV writing and interview techniques, but please also make sure you understand what you are entitled too and your rights during the consultancy stage.

If you wish to speak to someone outside of your employer or wish to feel confident that you are being offered the correct package please see the following links who offer the latest advice:

https://workingfamilies.org.uk/

Please remember you are still the amazing, unique and talented person you have always been, it is your role that is redundant.

Find out if your employer can make you redundant, including if your workplace moves or closes. Check what's fair if you're sick, pregnant or on holiday.
