Dr. Messay Gebrekidan Consultant Radiologist, Former Ayder Alimuni and active member of TMA (from Addis Ababa) is currently competing for Best AI Literacy & Awareness and is in 2nd place.

His AI initiative focuses on supporting healthcare in places like rural areas of Tigray, where there is a shortage of radiologists helping with image interpretation, with specialist second opinions when needed.

TMA is honoured to announce that Dr. Rieve Esayas for being recognized as pioneering role as one of the first surgeons in ethiopia to practice laparascopic surgery and awarded the title of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon’s name signify that the surgeon’s education, training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have successfully passed a rigorous evaluation and meet the high standards established by the College.
