A concerning scam is targeting innocent job seekers who share their CVs online in the hope of finding legitimate employment.
🚩 How does it work?
Scammers may contact candidates and arrange what seems like a genuine job interview. The opportunity can initially seem professional and legitimate, giving the candidate confidence that they are speaking with a real employer or recruiter.
However, the situation can take a disturbing turn, with the so-called job opportunity ultimately being something the candidate never applied for or agreed to.
💔 No one should have to experience this when simply trying to find work.

🔎 Red flags to look out for:
-Unexpected interview invitations from unverified recruiters or companies.
-Job descriptions that are vague, misleading, or change during the interview.

-Verify the company and recruiter independently.
-Check that the job exists on the company's official website or verified recruitment channels.
-Ask for a written job description and the employer's full details.
-Tell someone where you are going if attending an in-person interview.
-Trust your instincts.
