Responsibilities:
-Develop and automate API tests for software validation, maintain end-to-end API tests and CI stability
-Able to read and understand API documents
-Work with backend developers to help troubleshoot failing tests
-Validate features with more focus on the server-side validation at the API level
-Validate that API works for both web and mobile clients
-Monitor and constantly refine the quality strategy
-Analyze requirements for gaps and point out design flaws that can lead to bugs down the road
-Work closely with product managers and developers and assist them in story creation
-Senior Test Automation Engineer will also support the smoke/sanity testing requirements of the backend development Engineering team
Qualifications:
-5+ years of REST API testing using postman and developing automation for API's using Rest Assured framework/HTTP Client
-5+ years of Automation experience in Java, Selenium, and API testing
-Good to have experience in working on AWS deployment and testing process
-Good understanding of various DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Docker, Cloud Watch, Kibana
-Demonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and manual testing
-Pro-Actively work with the team and should be able to handle the work independently
