KASCO is a non profit organisation that aims at promoting Arts and Sports among the community of People of Kilungule and other neighbouring areas. The intended population for this project is the youths and children. The background situation and the push factor that influenced an introduction to KASCO is the fact that majority of young people in African countries, either fail to discover their tale
nts or lack materials which could support their talents to grow. This leads most of them to involve in anti-social behaviours and unemployment due to the fact that, not everybody comes successfully from the normal school education. In Tanzania of today, Arts especially Music, and sports (Soccer in this context) together increased number of employment to many youths. This means the idea of KASCO is the right catalyst to boost up socio-economic development in fast-developing countries like Tanzania. Root of KASCO
KASCO is the brainchild of a Tanzanian singer and song-writer Denyo Rasmi (Dennis Njonanje) who lives in Germany since 2014. Denyo picked up his first guitar in 2010, which was old, broken with only 5 tuning pegs from his uncles store. After graduating his diploma in social science at the Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy, Denyo spent all of his free time learning the instrument extremely and intensively as he played up to 8 Hours a day. After only 2 months he was doing very well and until now, Music does not just add something from his financial income but also the perfect escape from unfriendly situations. The life in Germany opened Denyo's eyes and brought him to the idea of starting KASCO. In 2015, one morning after a rainy night, Denyo passed along the river called Neckar and saw a lot of balls (for soccer) laying on the water. He decided to pick a long rope, a basket and started to fish them. Some balls were still very good, some were too old and some were destroyed because of stay in water for long time. Denyo wanted to send these balls but he was thinking on a nice approach that may inspire other people to participate in this positive mission. This year (2016) Denyo Rasmi experienced something called 'Flohmarkt' which is the type of jumble sale common in Germany. At the Flohmarkt, people have chance to sell all things they don't need for a give-away Price. 80% of sellers seem to try to get rid of their old staffs by bringing them to the Flohmarkt. After seeing people selling very nice musical instruments like Guitars and DrumKits, Denyo remembered how tough it was for him to get an access to learn instrument and suddenly he thought who great would it be if people who have some unwanted used sports and Arts materials in their stores, will dare to give them away to the needy young people. January, 2017 KASCO will be official introduced in Kilungule, Dar es Salaam Tanzania, getting the official registration and then launching shall follow. Nevertheless, now the campaign of KASCO is based on spreading the idea, getting people from different parts of the world to understand the concept that KASCO tries to carry out and along side all that, we have already started to collect these equipments and kind of support that intends to bring KASCO forward is welcome. Materials and Financial support are very necessary to give this idea Life. In this case, we are kindly anounce, if anybody has got an instrument or sports material in his house that you think you don't need it, please; Snap a pictures of it, Share it on our page with a hushtag before you send it. Everybody who will contribute or donate to KASCO is automatically concerned as a member and shall be noted in the membership list book. IF TODAYS YOUNG AFRICAN GENERATION IS WELL EMPOWERED, THERE SHALL BE LESS AFRICAN FOREIGNERS IN THE WESTERN COUNTRIES WHO SEEK TO LOOK FOR BETTER LIFE (socio-economic refugees).
