All the planning until you arrive at the airport in Germany is ok, but then what? You have arrived in Germany, what will be your initial costs?

If you did not rent the property before your departure, you need to bring some money in reserve for the cost of renting property, which varies between 2 months rent without the additional costs (Nebenkosten). After the house is taken over comes the part of buying furniture, in case the flat or house is not furnished. You will need approximately 5.000€ and even if you don't have television or radio you are still obliged to pay this fee of 18,36€ per month (amount per house, not per person), it is called the ARD Radio Fee (Rundfunkbeitrag)

In order to be able to communicate you will need to buy a mobile phone chip, which can be bought at the market and costs between 8 and 15 euros, and while you are at it, you will need to do the shopping for food and toiletries in order to start your long and successful LIFE IN GERMANY.

Have you already added these costs to your immigration planning? If not, save this post so you don't get caught by a surprise!

Do you know that curiosity that gets your head in a knot? I bet this one I'm bringing today got your head in a knot too.

Calm down, I will untie this knot. It is the following: When a woman separates from her husband and doesn't divorce, or even if she divorces but doesn't remove her ex-husband's last name from her name, she may have future problems.

This problem is precisely that she finds another partner, builds a new relationship and gets pregnant by this new partner.

When this baby is born and the parents are not married, the child automatically receives the mother's last name and since the mother's last name is still that of her ex-husband, then this will be the last name inherited by the child that has just been born.

Is that clear or confusing?

If it is not clear, follow the story and I will explain it better.
The good news is that there is a way to reverse this situation. And I will tell you all about it in the story and save it as a highlight.

Don't forget to save this post and send or tag @ of that friend that you know that separated and still didn't remove the ex's last name.

Today I bring you how much tax and social security contributions are deducted from your gross salary. The deductions include income tax rates, the solidarity surcharge and possibly church tax.

The amount of payroll tax depends on how much you earn and what tax benefits are taken into account when deducting payroll tax. The higher the income, the higher the personal tax rate. In Germany, the income tax percentage is between 14 and 45 per cent of annual income.

Social security contributions, including health insurance, pension insurance, unemployment insurance and long-term care insurance - the employee pays half of the contributions, and the employer pays the other half. Drag the slider to the side and check the contribution amounts for gross annual income subject to social security contributions.

Tell me in the comments if this post helped you. Keep interacting with our content so that it keeps coming to you. Save this post and consult it later.

Today I want to talk to you parents who are going to migrate with their children!

If your children are between 3 and 6 years old they have to go to a kindergarten. Or if they are older than 6 years, they have to go to school because school up to grade 9/10 (depending on the state) is compulsory here in Germany.
The vast majority of schools here are public schools, your children can therefore attend these schools for free.
90% of children here in Germany attend state schools because they have a high quality education.
There are also private and international schools, however there are fees for these.

The individual federal states are responsible for school policy. Depending on the region where you and your family move to, you may encounter slightly different school systems.

All major cities in Germany have a good and extensive public transport network. In rural areas in particular the bus is the most frequently used mode of transport.

In Germany's large cities there are trains, buses, trams, suburban trains (U-Bahn) and subways (S-Bahn). 🚃

For all public transport you must have a valid ticket. The ticket you buy before boarding the transport at the machines installed at the stations, at the service counter or through the Site/App or in bus couples it will be possible to buy directly from the driver.

If you are caught riding any transport without a ticket, so called "riding in the black" (Schwarzfahren), you will probably be fined and it can be very expensive. 👮♂️

And you, have you ever been on a train here in Germany? Tell me how your experience was.

My answer is: it depends! That's right, the immigrant is seen by the Germans as a "foreign citizen". Regardless of their country of origin, the attitudes, the interest in learning the language, the behaviour, the willingness to contribute to the economic growth of the country are strong points to win the admiration of the Germans. However, if the citizen arrives in a country with totally different rules and customs, does not respect and furthermore breaks the laws, this citizen will certainly arouse the feeling of rejection by some natives of the country.

So, from the first moment you think about moving to another country, internalise that you will have to reprogram all your habits, manners and customs.

Tell me in the comments, are you willing to change your habits to adapt to the customs of another country?
