EAPT celebrates International Pharmacy Technician Day and the essential contribution of pharmacy technicians across Europe “ On 20 October 2026, the European Association of Pharmacy Technicians (EAPT) proudly celebrates International Pharmacy Technician Day for the fourth consecutive year at European level, joining pharmacy technicians, professional organisations, educators, employers and healthcare partners in recognising the essential contribution of pharmacy technicians to healthcare systems. International Pharmacy Technician Day is an opportunity to celebrate the profession, recognise its contribution to healthcare and strengthen its visibility across Europe. Pharmacy technicians are essential members of healthcare teams, contributing to the safe preparation, management, distribution and use of medicines across diverse settings. For the past four years, EAPT has worked to give this celebration a stronger European dimension, bringing together pharmacy technicians and their representative organisations across countries and reinforcing a shared professional identity at European level. Healthcare systems across Europe are facing increasing pressure from ageing populations, workforce shortages, growing therapeutic complexity, digital transformation and rising expectations regarding medication safety and accessibility. Within this changing environment, the role of pharmacy technicians continues to evolve and their contribution is becoming increasingly important. EAPT continues to advocate for stronger professional recognition, high-quality education and training, opportunities for continuous professional development, and greater involvement of pharmacy technicians in areas such as medication safety, digital health, pharmaceutical care and multidisciplinary healthcare. The future of pharmacy depends on strong, competent and appropriately recognised pharmacy teams. Pharmacy technicians are, and must continue to be, an integral part of that future. On International Pharmacy Technician Day 2026, EAPT thanks pharmacy technicians across Europe and beyond for their professionalism, dedication and contribution to healthcare. The European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) Commission has launched a new Working Party dedicated to 3D-Printed Medicinal Products and is seeking experts to support its work.

The group will:
⭐️ assess the relevance and potential impact of pharmaceutical 3D-printing technologies;
⭐️ identify areas where new or revised pharmacopoeial texts may be needed;
⭐️ develop recommendations for future work;
⭐️ advise the European Pharmacopoeia Commission (EPC) on appropriate strategies for addressing 3D printing within the Ph. Eur.

L'ANPPH, en partenariat avec 3A Santé, vous propose la formation :

« Parcours du patient dialysé : rôle de la PUI et de ses acteurs ».

Cette formation de 2 jours permet aux préparateurs en pharmacie et aux pharmaciens de mieux comprendre l'insuffisance rénale chronique, le parcours du patient et les différentes techniques de suppléance rénale, afin d'optimiser la prise en charge et la sécurisation du circuit des produits de santé.

Au programme :

✅ Comprendre la maladie rénale chronique et son évolution
✅ Découvrir les spécificités de la dialyse péritonéale et de l'hémodialyse
✅ Identifier les médicaments et dispositifs médicaux utilisés en dialyse
