Ngl, it’s not easy watching the success of others on social media, especially when unemployed. But also, you know what people don’t post? The frustration of editing CVs & cover letters 1000 times, the sadness of getting rejected emails over and again, the exhaustion going through all that interviews without knowing if one will land. And probably more, before finally getting that job. It’s a journey, and you’ll get there 💪🏻

There’s something very weird about having more time but feeling like you’re not allowed to actually enjoy it. Like… surely we should be allowed to have a day where our biggest achievement is having a nice day out? So if you needed a sign: this is it. Have some guilt-free time. Even if it’s just for a little bit. We’ll allow it. 🫡

“Being fine” actually takes so damn much. Some feelings are pushed to the bottom of the list because there are other things to deal with. I know. Anyway, just casually wondering what everyone is emotionally avoiding this week and wanted to say you’re not alone 🫶🏻

It’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling unproductive just because things aren’t returning the result you want, but that isn’t everything. And it shouldn’t be.

I was frustrated, bitter even when things weren’t working out despite my best and constant efforts, until someone reminded me to look at my wins in the process. Ngl, it took me a while to appreciate this. But after I did, honestly? Things are much easier. It’s enough stress the world and people around you are putting on you, why make it so much harder for yourself?
