To all my brothers and sisters,
Here I want to share some experiences in preventing COVID-19. All the content in this article has been practiced in the past few months when we fight COVID-19 in China, and it has proven to be effective.
We must all pay more attention to the COVID-19, not to spread panic feelings, do scientific prevention, and protect ourselves and our families.
Today in China, we have few local new cases only, but everyone in China still insists on taking protective measures, going out to wear a mask, taking a temperature measurement, and doing a good job of disinfection. The experience in China shows that only when every people make their own efforts and reduce the transmission channels is the only way to defeat the COVID-19.
At present, what we get from official channels is no specific medicine has been found against the COVID-19. Some medicines are indeed effective against the COVID-19. When treating patients in China, traditional Chinese medicine has indeed been found to be effective in treating the COVID-19. However, you should never take medicine by yourself, do not listen to unofficial news and rumors, and you must follow the guidance of the World Health Organization and the guidance of a medical team with experience in treatment.
The good news is that China has begun to assist countries and dispatched experienced medical experts to guide it. I believe that with the joint efforts of everyone, we will be able to defeat the virus and resume production and economic activities. Below I will share the preventive and disinfection methods we use in China.
The most effective way to prevent COVID-19 is to take protective measures to assist in environmental disinfection. The most effective method of protection is to wash your hands frequently and wear a mask to prevent the virus from transmitting through the mucous membranes.
COVID-19 can survive outside the human body. Depending on the environment, the survival time ranges from 30 minutes to several days. In theory, it can survive indefinitely in a zero-degree environment. Therefore, this time COVID-19 can be transmitted through contact. For example, if a mobile phone has a virus on its screen, it will stick to your hands when you touch it with your hands. At this time, if you rub your eyes or dig your nostrils, you may be infected. Therefore, we should try to minimize contact with public goods, such as coins, elevator buttons, supermarket door handles, other people's mobile phones, other people's keys, etc. If you need to contact, you should wash your hands or disinfect your hands with paper towels. Similarly, changing clothes, shampooing, and bathing immediately after arriving home is also the same reason.
COVID-19 is not only contagious in the early and incubation period, but also invisible infected people are highly contagious, that is, a person looks good, in fact, he may have been infected, and at this time he can also put the virus Infect others. Therefore, an important measure is that we should try to avoid contact with those who are more likely to be infected. So, who are more likely to be infected than the average person? First, in close contact with patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia, these personnel include his family, doctors, and staff involved in quarantine; second, large-scale contact with floating populations has a high risk of infection.
How to take protective measures?
[1]. Do not touch or eat wild animals.
[2]. Do not go to the farmers market.
[3]. Don't eat raw milk, eggs and meat.
[4]. People engaged in field work should take effective personal protection to reduce the chance of exposure to wild animals or their secretions and excreta.
[5]. Do not visit others, do not gather, do not go to the crowded market, especially do not go to closed places, such as canteens, assemblies, etc.
[6]. Please wear a mask when you go out. When you meet strangers on the road, try to stay away. Please take off your coat, wash your hands and face when you go home.
[7]. Pay attention to the health of your family, especially the warmth of the elderly and children. Keep healthy and try not to go to the hospital. At this stage, the hospital has a relatively high probability of infection.
[8]. Open windows and ventilate your home often to keep indoor air flowing.
[9]. Reduce public transportation and try to avoid elevators.
[10]. Minimize exposure to public goods.
[11]. Try to stay away from people who reach many people.
Advice when family members have suspicious symptoms
[1]. If there are suspicious symptoms of pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus infection (such as fever, cough, sore throat, chest tightness, dyspnea, mild anorexia, fatigue, slightly worse spirits, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, headache, palpitation, conjunctivitis, (Slight symptoms of muscle aches in the extremities or lower back), you should consult a doctor in time according to the condition.
[2]. Avoid taking public transportation such as subways and buses, and avoid going to crowded places.
[3]. During the consultation, the doctor should take the initiative to inform the doctor of his travel and residence history in the epidemic area of the relevant disease, and who he has contacted since the onset of the disease, and cooperate with the doctor to conduct relevant investigations.
[4]. Family members of patients should wear masks to keep distance from other asymptomatic family members and avoid close contact.
[5]. If someone in the family is diagnosed with pneumonitis infected by the new coronavirus, other family members who are judged to be in close contact should receive medical observation for 14 days.
[6]. Disinfect the places and objects that are frequently touched by family members with symptoms.
There are two main areas of disinfection. The first one is the main hand disinfection to block the contact channels between bacteria and hands, mouth, eyes, and nose. The second one is the secondary disinfection of the home environment, including clothing and doors. Handles, toilets, etc.
Hand disinfection
When going home, rinse with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds. If possible, use 70% alcohol to wipe your hands.
Environmental disinfection
First open the window in the morning, middle, and night for 15 to 30 minutes.
Secondly, it can also disinfect the surfaces of frequently used objects, such as keys, mobile phones, desktops, door handles, switches, and so on.
If there are high-risk relatives or patients at home, disinfect the environment and air.
Choice of disinfection products
When selecting disinfection products, please note that the disinfectant components in some products cannot eliminate the COVID-19.
According to the guidelines issued by the major disease prevention and control centers, there are the following ingredients that are effective for the COVID-19:
Containing chlorine: such as 84 disinfectant (the main ingredient is sodium hypochlorite), bleaching powder (the main ingredient is sodium hypochlorite), chlorine dioxide effervescent tablets;
Alcohols: The effective concentrations mentioned in the guidelines of various agencies are slightly different, but they are between 60 ~ 80%. Currently, the concentrations are widely recognized as 70% -75%, including alcohol-free hand sanitizers, alcohol cotton Film
Quaternary ammonium salts: such as disinfectant wipes and disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts.
84 disinfectant, bleaching powder, etc. have a certain irritation, friends must wear gloves and use according to instructions. In addition, alcohol is best used for hand disinfection.
High temperature disinfection
The study found that the new crown virus is not afraid of heat but not cold. High temperature can kill the new crown virus and make it inactive. What is the high temperature? The answer is fifty-six degrees or more. For ordinary families, this method is also relatively simple and easy to operate. For vegetables and fruits bought back, this high temperature disinfection can be used for processing. Some dishes in the home can also be sterilized by high-temperature cooking.
It is just that some items cannot be sterilized by high temperature, especially immersion in boiling water, such as masks. Masks are a necessity for going out now, and limited purchases have caused the situation of secondary use of masks. Soaking the mask with boiling water will reduce the protective ability of the mask and affect the filtering effect of the mask.
While paying attention to disinfection, pay attention to daily diet and exercise. Food is the main source of nutrients needed by the human body. Only by strengthening your physical fitness can you improve your ability to fight the virus. Life lies in exercise. Persistence in exercise is also an important means to fight against the virus.
How to use disinfectant
Wipe disinfection: Wipe the surface of items that may come in contact with chlorine-containing disinfectant containing effective chlorine 250 mg / L ~ 500 mg / L or 75% ethanol (alcohol), and wash with water after 30 minutes. Wet mopping the floor with a 250mg / L ~ 500mg / L chlorine-containing disinfectant solution. Skin and hands can be disinfected with 75% ethanol (alcohol), 0.5% iodophor disinfectant and alcohol-containing hand disinfectant.
Soaking and disinfection: Daily fabrics (such as towels, clothes, quilts, etc.) are soaked with a 250mg / L ~ 500mg / L chlorine-containing disinfectant solution for 30min; food (drinks), etc. are disinfected with 250mg / L ~ 500mg / L chlorine-containing Soak for 30 minutes. The fabrics and food (drinking utensils) should be washed with water after disinfection.
