Journée internationale des migrants..
Ladies and gentlemen
Have a good day.
My name is Aziz Kalo, a Kurdish activist from Syria and head of the Kurdish Culture Society in Geneva. At the beginning I thank the organizers and invite me. On the International Day of Migrants, the United Nations recognizes the existence of 285 million migrants in the world and many of them live in very difficult living conditions. Although migration has existed since ancient times, it continues as people move in search of new opportunities for living and a better life. That migration will continue to exist due to climate change, demographic factors, political and security instability, worsening inequalities, increasing people's aspirations for a better life, job shortages and rising unemployment. As one of the young Kurds, I am forced to enter the issue of immigrants in Kurdistan, where the number of displaced and refugees living in the territory of Kurdistan, nearly two million people, some of them came from Syria and others from other provinces of Iraq after the control of a lot of areas in Iraq between mid-2014 began a problem Displacement, and Migration Since 2011, when the Syrian authorities began to use excessive violence towards civilian areas, where many violations of human rights, forcing the people to move to other places in their province or to a neighboring province and then escape and migration to neighboring countries (Lebanon, Jordan, Kurdistan Region - Iraq). According to the Syrian Human Rights Committee, the motives for immigration and asylum are the existence of "excessive violence and policy of systematic massacres, systematic policy of siege, systematic r**e, abduction of girls, sexual harassment, conscripts, In Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey raises political, social and life problems and are exposed to problems of education, health and education, life problems in their lives, as well as security problems..Etc.
After the advent of the terrorist and his entry into Iraq and Syria, the displacement and migration began to tear apart the body of the Yazidis, Christian and all minorities, and Iraq began to lose its cultural diversity and identities. On this World Day, I invite you in the name of humanity and peace to prevent the recurrence of incidents such as drowning and invite you to attend human rights organizations in Geneva and the world. Support to those migrants from conflict and war because of their ethnic or religious affiliation or creed.
With thanks and appreciation to all of you.
