I've been a recruiter for over 10 years and I can tell you this with certainty:
The candidates who get found are rarely the ones applying the most.
They're the ones with profiles that speak for them when they're not in the room.
Your LinkedIn is your 24/7 recruiter. Make sure it's saying the right things. πŸ’›
What's one thing on your LinkedIn you know needs work? Tell me below πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

To everyone affected by today's Meta layoffs, you are not your layoff. You are your experience. πŸ’›
Here are 3 things you should do RIGHT NOW to get back in front of recruiters fast. Save this. Share it with someone who needs it today.

Let me tell you what's actually happening in that hiring manager's head when they post a job.
They're not sitting there picturing a perfect human being with every single qualification on that list.
They're thinking about a problem.
Maybe their team just lost two people and everything is on fire. Maybe a key client is unhappy and they need someone who's done this before.
Maybe a new product is launching in 90 days and they're behind.
Every job posting is a problem in disguise.
And here's where most candidates get it completely wrong: they walk into interviews reciting their CV like a grocery list. "I have 5 years experience. I'm proficient in Excel. I work well under pressure."
Cool. So does everyone else in that waiting room.
The candidates who get hired? They walk in and say: "I understand what this role needs to fix. Here's exactly how I've done it before. Here's what I'd do in the first 90 days."
That's it. That's the whole secret.
Before your next interview, do this one thing: Google the company, read recent news about them, look at their job description carefully, and ask yourself: "What problem are they trying to solve by filling this role?"
Then build every single answer around that.
You don't need to be perfect. You need to be the solution to their problem.

Somewhere right now, someone just opened their inbox and felt their stomach drop.
Another rejection. Another "we've decided to move forward with other candidates."
I've been a recruiter for over 10 years. I've sent hundreds of those emails myself.
And here's what I need you to know from the other side of that decision:
Sometimes candidates get rejected because the role got put on hold internally.
Sometimes two equally brilliant candidates applied and we could only pick one.
Sometimes the job description asked for specific industry-related experience.
None of that is about your worth.
The job search process is imperfect, political, and sometimes deeply unfair.
Don't let one recruiter's decision become the story you tell yourself about who you are.
You are not "unsuccessful."
You are not "unemployable."
You are not "not good enough."
You are one right opportunity away.
Keep going. πŸ’›

I was part of an interview panel that met a candidate with a perfect CV.
The candidate lost the interview panel's attention in less than 10 minutes.
Another candidate with a less polished CV, zero big-name companies on their CV, got the job.
The difference? One could tell their story. The other couldn't.
Your CV is just a ticket in. The moment you open your mouth, that's the real interview.
Most people spend weeks perfecting their CV and zero time practising how to talk about it. And recruiters notice.
I've been on the other side of that table for over 10 years.
Here's what I want you to do before your next interview:
Pick ONE role from your CV and answer this out loud β€” "What did I actually do there, and why did it matter?"
If you stumble, that's your sign.

Global employers won't understand your "greatness "if you don't speak their language! πŸ—£οΈ
When I first moved to Canada, I realized Canadian recruiters could not translate my work experience to meet their requirements.
Don’t let your hard work be lost in translation. Your resume needs to be "Global-Ready." 🌍
