🪴💚Earlier this month I had the opportunity to share my gift again with neighbors, now family, over at The Lee.
I chose a variety of ferns, succulents and sedums as our focal plants. Which of course required a variety of soil mediums like cactus soil, orchid bark and charcoal.
I’ve been able to host these workshops with residents for years now and it means so much seeing returning residents throughout the years.
I accidentally asked for two sets of gardening tools instead of two sets of 12 so we had to improvise a little. We also raffled offed the 12inch pony tail palm at the end of the workshop.
These workshops are an opportunity for residents to be still and one with nature and to literally touch grass. So I also brought in some Touch Me Not plants for residents to take home with them after the workshop.
It’s also always so affirming watching residence walls come down from the beginning of the workshop to the end. It’s always the toughest cookie that ends up being the sweetest. ☺️🪴
It’s also interesting seeing how some residents will use the time to just sit and be with community for a bit. We listened to Amy Winehouse this workshop and it was such a vibe.
Decided to use fishbowl for our mini terrariums in an effort to be able to accommodate everyone’s space and lighting. Good for the desk, bathroom shelf, window ledge, side table etc. 🪴☺️
How cute are these heart shape leaf ferns 😍
This one’s perfect 😍
