It's SUPER important to ask questions at the end of the interview, for many people this is where they don't 'stand out' from the other candidate that has the same or similar qualifications. Many of my clients choose the 'most prepared' candidate.
You should prepare at LEAST 10 questions to ask because it is likely they will answer several during the interview. Here are some examples that you can try on your next interview!
1) What are your expectations of me during the first 90 days?
2) What was the reason for the position becoming available?
3) What sort of personalities fit in best with the team?
4) If you could give me any advice on how I could stand out in this role, what would it be?
5) What is the average tenure of the people that work here?
6) Are there any extra curriculars that your company participates in? OR What does your team do for fun or to celebrate a big win?
7) What do you like about working here?
8) Can you walk me through a day in the life in this position?
9) Where do you see me in 5 to 10 years if I were to be offered this position?
10) Now that we've had a chance to meet, do you have any concerns?
