We're proud to serve our community—follow along for updates, events, safety tips, and the many ways we support Dawson Creek. The Dawson Creek Fire Department was established in January 1938 in response to the community’s limited access to firefighting equipment and resources. On April 3, 1972, the Department proudly affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and joined t

he British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters Association (BCPFFA). For over 52 years, Dawson Creek Firefighters have taken pride in providing essential services including fire suppression, highway rescue, confined space response, hazardous materials response, medical response, and rope rescue. Beyond emergency services, our members are committed to supporting the community through various initiatives led by the Dawson Creek Firefighters Charitable Society.

The Dawson Creek Firefighters Charitable Society is proud to support the South Peace Community Resource Society (SPCRS) Backpack Drive with $1,000 worth of school supplies for local youth.

Supporting youth and helping them succeed is one of our charity’s core goals. We believe every student should have the opportunity to start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. 📚✏️

We’re proud to partner with SPCRS and support the incredible work they do for families throughout the South Peace.

Great information and behind the scenes about the deployment and use of Structural Protection Units from the British Columbia Wildfire Service.
Dawson Creek Firefighters have been deployed on these previously at the Kelowna and Burns Lake fires and most recently the Kelly Lake fire last year.

We are incredibly grateful and humbled by the generous grant and support from TC Energy, which helped make our new, Dawson Creek Firefighters Charitable Society Community Support Trailer possible! 🙌

This trailer will be a tremendous asset for our charity and will help us take our community events and fundraising initiatives to the next level. From supporting local events to bringing our fundraising efforts directly into the community, this trailer will be put to work serving the people of Dawson Creek and the surrounding area. ❤️

We were also delighted to exchange challenge coins on this special day! A meaningful moment of connection and shared respect. 🤝🔥

A special thank you also goes to the incredible team at Bannister GM in Dawson Creek for going above and beyond to help us find the perfect trailer for our needs. Your support and dedication made a huge difference!
