The BCHS Site Identification Task Force is collecting feedback from the community on the criteria to identify the most suitable site for BCHS’ new hospital.

BCHS not waiting to make critical improvements to the existing hospital.

The organization, which oversees Brantford General Hospital and the Willett Urgent Care Centre in Paris, recently received government support to move to the next stage of planning for a new hospital.

But in the meantime, it’s not waiting to make critical improvements to the existing hospital.

“We’re on a journey, and I’d like to think that we’re moving in the right direction,” president and CEO Bonnie Camm told The Spectator on a tour of significant hospital upgrades.

𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱-𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁!

Ontario is investing an additional $12.5 million to support the planning and construction of a new Brant Community Healthcare System hospital that will transform care for families in Brant County, Six Nations of the Grand River and surrounding communities.

Once opened, the new hospital would include:
- emergency services and intensive care
- medical imaging and other diagnostic services
- maternal, newborn and pediatric care programs
- mental health and addictions programs
- modernized medical and surgical inpatient units
- new ambulatory care programs and clinics

This new state-of-the-art facility will expand capacity, improve services and reduce wait times, ensuring the hospital can continue to meet the needs of the rapidly growing region for years to come.
