It’s National AccessAbility Week!

Whether it’s providing tools like screen readers or helping job seekers find roles that fit their needs, everyone deserves a fair chance to succeed.

Our service providers make sure that all our clients get opportunities, with some, like The Bennett Edge in the Peel Region, being specialized in providing support services to persons with disabilities.

People like Jasvir show why support matters. Jasvir was only eight months old when he was hit on the head, and after that, he never walked. Getting to school was hard, and he often felt lonely and isolated.

When he came to Canada he got support from The Bennett Edge. They not only helped him find a job but were his constant cheerleaders. Now, he works at the Pearson airport in Toronto. Watch his story here: https://hubs.la/Q03pz8b50

Black Canadians have been foundational in shaping the country we love today. From the sacrifices of the No. 2 Construction Battalion in World War I to the courage of early Black settlers, their contributions have been pivotal in building Canada's values of justice, equality, and resilience.

Black Canadians' stories of leadership, like that of Elijah McCoy, whose inventions revolutionized industry, and Lincoln Alexander, Canada's first Black Member of Parliament, remind us that their legacy is a key part of Canada's very foundation.

This Black History Month, we celebrate their leadership and lasting impact—honoring the past while inspiring future generations.
