- Develop samples with required washes and treatments, including multiple wash proposals for buyer review.
- Research and implement new wash techniques, including recipe development, process setting, and risk assessment.
- Ensure wash and garment quality as per buyer standards and technical requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning and Quality teams throughout development and production stages.
- Perform shade matching, bulk & sample inspection, and troubleshooting during production; take corrective decisions for proper resolution.
- Identify and implement alternative solutions (recipes, methods, chemicals, or suppliers) to achieve optimum results in quality, lead time, and cost.
- Evaluate washing factory in terms of capacity, capability, strengths, and weaknesses; support continuous improvement of wash standards.
- Handle wash approvals and conduct factory visits as required.
- Detect defects, label and classify rejects, and ensure proper segregation of non-conforming garments.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of knit, woven fabrics, and trims in relation to washing processes.
- Ensure Production planning to ensure delivery on time for Bulk & Development.
- Keep all wash records, approvals, recipes, and reports properly organized and up to date.

𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:
- B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from a reputed university.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in a buying house or garments industry.
- Advanced knowledge of knit, and woven wash processes and recipe development.
- Strong expertise in wash costing, chemical optimization, and process control.
- Proven ability in bulk troubleshooting, shade management, and risk mitigation.
- Sound understanding of buyer standards, testing, and approval procedures.
