ফেব্রুয়ারি ২৪,২০০৮ সালে ১৫ সদস্য বিশিষ্ট চিকিৎসক ও সহায়ক জনবল নিয়ে প্রতিষ্ঠিত চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের হেমাটোলজি বিভাগ (ওয়ার্ড-৩৭)দেশের দক্ষিন পূর্বান্চলের একমাত্র বিশেষায়িত রক্ত ও রক্ত রোগ চিকিৎসা কেন্দ্র।প্রতিনিয়ত ব্লাড ক্যান্সার/লিউকেমিয়া,লিম্ফোমা,মারাত্বক এপ্লাস্ টিক আ্যনেমিয়া,রক্ত নির্ভর থ্যালাসেমিয়া ও হিমোফিলিয়া সহ আরো জটিল দূরারোগ্য রোগে আক্রান্ত রোগীরা দুর দূরান্ত হতে এসে চিকিৎসা

র জন্য এখানে ভর্তি হয়।এইসব রোগের চিকিৎসায় ঔষধ ছাড়াও রক্ত/রক্তাংশ তথা প্লাজমা ও প্লাটেলেট প্রয়োজন হয় যেটি মুদ্রা বিনিময়যোগ্য অথবা কোন ফার্মেসীর মাধ্যমে সরবরাহকৃত নয়। আর্থিক অসচ্ছলতার পাশাপাশি স্বল্পশিক্ষিত গরীব এবং অসহায় রোগীর জন্য অপরিচিত পরিবেশের কারণে প্রয়োজনীয় রক্ত/রক্তাংশ যোগাড় করা খুবই কষ্টসাধ্য হয়ে পড়ে। এমতাবস্থায় আপনার দেয়া এক ব্যাগ নিরাপদ রক্তই পারে কিছু মানুষের জীবন বদলে দিতে এবং মানবতার সেবায় আপনার এ অবদান আপনাকে দেবে পরিতৃপ্তি ।

The Department of Haematology (Ward-37)of Chittagong Medical College Hospital was established in February 24,2008 with 15 members manpower unit of doctors and essential support staffs.Patients with more complex chronic diseases of blood including blood-dependent thalassemia,hemophilia & blood cancers come from far and wide locations to seek treatment in this tertiary care multi-speciality hospital.But due to financial insecurity as well as unfamiliar environment for poorly educated helpless patients it becomes very difficult to get their required but currency unexchangeable & readily unavailable blood/blood products for transfusion treatment.In this case,a safe bag of your blood donation can change the lives of some people and your contribution thereby to the service of humanity will give you an utmost satisfaction. The Journey of the Department of Haematology CMCH officially began February 24th 2008 but in 2009 by the visit of training recognition of the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons(BCPS)team>from the then Medicine Unit 2(Ward-14) main hospital building to this current location Ward-37 at new ancillary administrative building on 5th & 6th floor.
Hope the department will run 🏃 🏃‍♀️or move forward to discourage poor incapable patients to go abroad for their costly but life endanger blood diseases treatment with sacrificing their hands to mouth pocket income.
