We’re recruiting for a Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician on behalf of our client. This is a full-time role for an experienced electrician — not a junior position.

What we’re looking for:
• Strong commercial electrical maintenance background
• Experience in large commercial buildings
• Confident in fault finding & troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret schematics

Experience with:
• Switchboard installation
• Cable tray installation & cable running
• Lighting control systems (DALI, C-Bus)
• Data installation

Additional requirements:
• Supervisory/leadership experience (overseeing apprentices)
• Ability to work independently & in a team
• Good communication & basic PC skills
• NSW White Card (EWP licence a bonus)
• Must hold a NSW Electrical Licence

Location: Sydney (on-site)
Schedule: Night shift – Sunday to Thursday (40 hours/week + occasional OT on Fridays)
Duration: Mid-April to June (potential opportunity for long-term engagement with our client, an established Electrical Engineering company)
Pay: Competitive night shift rates + travel allowance (based on experience)

*MUST HAVE:*
Valid NSW Electrical Licence (essential)
Proven ability to work independently
Strong experience in industrial maintenance environments

*Scope:*
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on plant electrical systems
- Work with MCCs, control panels, and field equipment
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on PLC-based control systems
- Inspect, test, and maintain motor control equipment including: Contactors, Overloads, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), Soft starters
- Replace or upgrade obsolete equipment and assist with new installations
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Report to supervisor (available remotely via phone)
- work alongside with on-site fitters and plant operators
