The Urban Canvas creative showcase premiere in March.

The launch of the Urban Canvas Creative Showcase in March featured some amazing talent. This is just one of the many projects which have evolved since the establishment of the Urban Canvas GC organisation. The showcase – at the Rabbit and Cocoon precinct (better known for the regular Miami Marketta events) included performance artists, fashion designers, musicians, photographers, painters, illustrators, installation artists and more. We were very lucky to be a part of the Tribute to Michael Jackson group show in the Gold Coast's Sofitel ( held by the 19 Karen art gallery ). If you are fan of Michael, art or both and want to check out some of these great pieces inspired by Michael Jackson's top music videos, the exhibition will be on in the Sofitel's ground floor area until the end of the month.
Go check it out, it will be a thriller! 😉

Johan Coppers (Hans-solo) is acoustic reggae rock R&B hip-hop at its best. With a sound said to have a mix of Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran, and Sublime, Johan has played around the world providing high energy body moving entertainment.

It was a great evening full of wonderful art and delightful music. We are also loving that amazing space.

It's been a week, since our show and now that we've had the time to calm down and relax after all that excitement, we would like to thank all the amazing people that were involved in making this one amazing and unforgettable day!
All the volunteers that helped us throughout the day especially: Veronika, Matt G, Matty, Roman, Katerina, Adrian and Holly - you guys are legends.
Our amazing sound guy Brennan from Good Sound Co for going out of his way and making sure the show had the best sound and lights we could get.
Our own sound guy and team member Dave Jelovcan, who is an absolute rockstar and we could not have done it without his help.
The bands: Hypnotic Bedrooms, The Ottomans and Hans Solo you guys were amazing and we hope you had a great time!
Our own DJ Majk ( known by most as DJ Magic ), he flew in from Sydney just to be part of our show and he was amazing as always!
Our team member and extremely talented fashion designer Laura Leone Hancock that dealt with all the planning for the fashion parade that we did not have time for and did a great job!
The models: Assi, Ashlee, Anjee, Brittany, Kerri, Lauren, Rebel and Siobhan, ladies you looked beautiful, thank you for donating your time.
The amazing makeup artists Leesh Kanofski, Amanda Hall and Andrijana Livaja and the hair stylist Kirsty Grinshaw, Vslarie Papas from Papas hair and Dimitri Fronis from Fronis hair - wow you guys did wonderful job and we are so humbled that you were happy to be part of our show.
The dancers/ students from Ikin Dance, your routine was amazing!! Every one got so excited when you performed - so much fun!!
The circus performers/students from the Australian Academy of Circus - it was flawless girls, I saw few a people standing there with their mouth opened during your performance - beautiful!
Our mc and friend Jessica Tay, thank you so much for jumping in last minute and mc-ing for us, you were great! Our event photographers: Marie Reeves (from Ree & Co), Brendon K, Aidan Ryan and Wondrass Stoklasek (from The Function Designs) who donated their time, and for coming up with the most wonderful images. Thank you so much, we hope this was a great day for you and that it wasn't all just work, but you had some fun too :)
All the extremely talented artists : Robert, Kiel T, Adz, Jasmine, Joy, Acid Ink, Jenna, Cat, Phoebe, Dan, Chris, Zac, Steph, Nate, Kaitlin, Kate, Jake, Melissa, Mon, Mia, Jason, Melanie and Sharon and Kiel W (who also helped us with our advertising and promo shots - thank you! ), our life artist Danny Strapps and fashion designers: Julia Rose, Klara Belle, Vanessa & Beck from Songbird, Kirsten from Molly & Polly swimwear and Laura Leone Hancock, we are so lucky to have all that talent involved in the show, you are all incredible.
All the media that were involved in getting the word out there about our show, thank you that made a massive difference for us.
And last but not least, thank you Rabbit and Cocoon for being such an incredible venue, we could not have chosen a better place for our showcase :)

And also big thank you to everyone that came and shown us their support.
