We know that the FM’s and Property Managers we interact with every day are passionate about sustainability and the climate. The Property industry is integral in shaping a more sustainable future. Every operational decision carries environmental weight. From sustainable procurement and Low VOC materials and green cleaning products to circularity in fit-outs, smart building technologies, and waste reduction, property teams make an impact on the climate. This year's theme is inspired by Nature, and it’s a powerful reminder that the built environment is no longer separate from the natural world. It is part of it and must now work in harmony with it. (Just look at the Falcons that nest each year at 360 Collins Street!)

This year, our team has pledged the following to do more of:
• Louise – Going to grow more veggies and try to reduce the selection of food in plastic packaging
• Andy – Continually increase the use of public transport.
• Emily – Reduce landfill and pollution by second-hand clothes shopping
• Jo – Change her coffee habits by using a reusable keep cup.

We will keep you posted with respect to our habits, but we would love to hear about what you or your teams might be doing for World Environment Day!

The King's Birthday long weekend is a timely reminder that even royalty understands the value of a strong personal brand.

Your resume is yours.

In today's property and facilities management market, the difference between securing an interview and being overlooked often comes down to how clearly and compellingly your experience is presented, not simply how extensive it is.

At Pinpoint Property Recruitment, we work with property and FM professionals at every career stage. One consistent pattern we observe: candidates who invest time in a well-positioned, achievement-focused resume move through the process faster and attract better opportunities.

This long weekend, we encourage you to ask yourself:
→ Does your resume reflect the value you bring or just the roles you've held?
→ Is it tailored to the market you're targeting right now?
→ Would a hiring manager understand your impact within 30 seconds?

If the answer to any of these is uncertain, our latest article walks you through five practical steps to strengthen your resume for the current property and FM with clear examples you can apply immediately.

If you're considering your next move or simply want a confidential discussion about where the market is heading, we welcome the conversation.

Are you looking to move into Facilities Management? Take a look at our 5-step guide!

Emily Nilsson is our specialist recruiter, skilled at helping tradies secure their first role in Facilities Management. Common feedback she receives is, “FM sounds interesting… but how can I transfer? Will the role really suit me?”

FM employers are crying out for technical talent. Professionals with trade backgrounds bring a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to facilities operations, enabling more effective decision-making, improved contractor oversight, and stronger outcomes in maintenance and asset management.

Sparkies, plumbers, chippies, grounds pros - your skills are in demand, and the opportunities are bigger than most people realise.

And here’s the kicker: you already speak FM.
• Breakdowns? That’s reactive maintenance.
• Managing subbies? Contractor management.
• Keeping clients happy? Stakeholder engagement.

Same skills. New titles. Bigger career runway.

With 21,700+ FM roles across Australia, the industry is buoyant. It’s a genuine path to a fulfilling, all-encompassing position that is easier on your body long term.

You don’t need to reinvent yourself, just translate what you already know.

Please review our quick 5 step guide to help you make the switch. Swipe through and see how close you already are.

And when you’re ready to take the next step, the team at Pinpoint Property Recruitment is here to back you. We specialise in helping trades professionals break into FM, and we speak your language.

Australia’s Facilities Management market is on the cusp of significant expansion, with new data showing the sector is set to almost double by 2033, according to a recent report published on Vocal. This growth is being fuelled by rapid advances in building technology, stronger sustainability and compliance expectations, and a continued shift toward outsourced and integrated FM delivery models.

For organisations, this evolution brings both opportunity and pressure. The demand for FM leaders who can drive asset performance, manage risk, optimise energy use, and deliver measurable value has never been higher.

At Pinpoint Property Recruitment, we’re partnering with clients across commercial, industrial, healthcare, government, not-for-profit and education portfolios who are preparing for this next phase of industry growth. Securing the right talent people with the technical depth, commercial capability and future‑focused mindset is becoming a critical competitive advantage.

If your organisation is planning ahead for capability uplift, team restructuring or strategic FM hires, now is the time to position yourself for what’s coming.

As recruiters, we constantly speak with candidates and hear their frustrations about the job market. The biggest one right now? Sending out application after application and hearing absolutely nothing back. No calls. No emails. Just silence.

If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. But here's the thing: Australia's Property and Facilities Management market is booming with no shortage of opportunities.

From our client meetings, many organisations are actively hiring (or will be within 6 months) across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure portfolios. Demand for experienced Property Managers, Facilities Managers, and Building Services professionals is strong, and salaries are trending upward.

So if the jobs are out there, why aren't you landing interviews?

As a specialist recruiter in this field, here's the most common feedback I'm hearing:

▪️Your resume doesn't speak their language. Hiring managers want specifics, such as NABERS ratings, major projects, contract management, or cost-saving initiatives. Generic resumes get lost. Tailor yours to each role and show measurable impact.

▪️You're not keeping up with what employers want. Employers in 2026 are prioritising smart building technology, data-driven asset management, ESG compliance, and energy efficiency. If your resume hasn't evolved, you'll look behind the times.

▪️You're underestimating flexibility. Employers are reshaping how they build teams. If your application doesn't demonstrate adaptability, you risk being screened out early.

▪️You're relying only on job boards. Many of the best Property and FM roles never make it to a job ad, they're filled through specialist recruiters and professional networks. Applying only online means missing a huge part of the market.

▪️You're not telling your career story. With skills-based hiring rising, employers want to know what you can do, not just where you've worked. Clearly demonstrate how your experience aligns with the role.

The good news? Every one of these problems is fixable.

At Pinpoint Property Recruitment, we specialise in placing professionals across Property Management, Facilities Management, and Building Services roles Australia-wide. We know what employers want, how to position your experience, and where the opportunities are, including ones you won't find on a job board.

Tired of the silence? Get in touch today. Let's get you in front of the right people.

Today’s workplaces are not just about physical safety. They are about how people feel, think, and thrive at work.

This World Day of Safety and Health at Work 2026, the focus shifts to something often overlooked but deeply impactful: creating healthy psychosocial working environments.

Stress, burnout, lack of support, and unclear expectations are no longer “soft issues”. They directly affect performance, retention, and overall business success.

At Pinpoint Property Recruitment, we see firsthand how organisations in property and facilities management are evolving. The most successful teams are those that prioritise psychological safety alongside operational excellence.

Creating a healthy workplace means:
• Encouraging open communication
• Supporting mental well-being
• Building inclusive and respectful cultures
• Ensuring workloads and expectations are realistic

Because when people feel safe, supported, and valued, they perform at their best.

Some lessons are never dated. Some service is never forgotten.

On ANZAC Day 2026, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and mateship of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. A day that continues to hold deep meaning across generations, reminding us of the values that shape both our history and our present.

Today, we remember. We reflect. We say thank you.

Lest We Forget.
