Prepare and cook food for residents and staff. Clean, cut, and cook vegetables, meat, fish, and/or poultry. Cook foodstuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions. Determine numbers of portions to be served. Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.

Responsible for preparing dining room for meals by setting tables, folding napkins, filling water glasses, providing
and refilling condiments. Serves meals to residents. Clear dishes from tables to kitchen. Remove soiled linens
from tables and organize the dining room after meals. Help with washing and putting away silverware, dishes,
cooking utensils and appliances. Help with maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, and food storage
areas
