Two travel-addicted Aussies intent on seeing as many c So we travelled. A LOT. That's how Travel-ling started!

From the wintery conditions of Canberra, Australia, we decided to take a break from life and careers and moved to the tiny pueblo (village) of Pozoblanco, Spain, just outside of Cรณrdoba in Andalusia. We wanted to really get to know the authentic Spain: more than bullfights, flamenco dancing and tapas. And so we found friendship, good food and the most amazing places! We also ended up visiting everywhere from Istanbul to Amsterdam, Monaco to Morocco and everywhere in between. So now we devote our page to telling cool travel stories and bringing the best of Spain, Europe and all parts of the world to you!

What a joy it's been to take a walk down memory lane and revisit some of the epic places we've been to. It's unreal seeing these incredible places zoomed out and then up close ๐Ÿ—บ Which one is your favourite?

Thanks to Demas Rusli for the inspiration ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿ“Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy

I seriously could do a whole series on Spain alone ๐Ÿ’ƒ Should I?

๐Ÿ“Puente Nuevo de Ronda, Spain

One of the most amazing countries we've visited and I'm so excited to start planning a visit there again next year!

๐Ÿ“Abu Simbel in Aswan, Egypt

Even in the rain, this city exudes romance โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ“Eiffel Tower in Paris, France

One of the most remote places I've ever been to, on an incredible press trip I'll never forget ๐ŸŒ

๐Ÿ“Star Lagoon (Telaga Bintang) in Raja Ampat, Indonesia

This place is rumoured to have been inspiration for a scene in a famous fantasy series... ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ“Stow's Tolkein Door in the Cotswolds, United Kingdom

There was something so undeniably moving and spiritual about this place. Always was, always will be ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ“Uluru, Australia

The prettiest garden that felt futuristically out of this world

One of my bucket list items was to stay in a trulli in Puglia, and it was wonderful. This original trulli house near Martina Franca made the perfect base to explore this part of Puglia for the first half of our trip. Our host was so kind, even stocking us up with some gluten-free snacks.

If you have animal-loving kids, the Zoosafari at Zoosafari Fasano was a great day out. If you have your own car, you can drive the safari route and see animals roaming up close. After the safari you can roam around the park and see other animals and visit the amusement park.

I was obsessed with this Airbnb and most of our mornings were spent relaxing here.

A morning spent in Monopoli. It was incredibly hot the morning we visited (and both kids had meltdowns), but the heat didn't detract from the beauty of the streets and port.

A lazy walk along the Port of Monopoli is a must.

Alberobello was a must-see for me, and it didn't disappoint. It was pretty busy, even late in the day, so it's worth taking your time to explore the streets (while fighting the crowds).

One of the only photos in Alberobello I managed to get without crowds in it ๐Ÿซฃ

The older we've gotten (and since having kids), the more we realise we need to include a lot of downtime in our travel agenda. No regrets here.

We hadn't planned to visit Ostuni, but our Airbnb host recommended we do, and we're glad she did. La Cittร  Bianca (the White City) was enchanting, especially as the sun went down.

Since the middle ages, the old town of Ostuni has been painted with white lime wash, giving it its nickname, of The White City. This was originally to prevent the spreading of the plague, but the tradition to white wash the picturesque facades continue to this day.

The famous beach of Polignano a Mare draws in the crowds, but the town itself had lots of pretty spots to visit.

Be prepared for an early morning, or face the crowds if you want to enjoy Lama Monachile. We managed to find a spot and had a quick swim, but it was already crowded by 10am. The water was spectacular, but I'll take a sandy beach over pebbles any day.

Our second half of our Puglia trip was based

A town I hadn't heard of previously, but fell in love with almost immediately. This charming beachside town is only a 15-minute drive from the centre of Valencia, but you could be forgiven for thinking you were in Italy. With colourful buildings overlooking canals lined with yachts and boats, it's no wonder it has been nicknamed "Little Venice".

YOLO ๐Ÿ˜†

Seriously though, the recent month in Spain was not originally on our radar for this year, but when life threw in some other plans, it was a no-brainer. I have no regrets.... well, maybe one regret in that we couldn't stay longer ๐Ÿ˜‰

It's been a wild three months...

Aside from the obvious events, we've also had crazy storms and flooding, on again/off again remote learning and two international trips, all while trying to continue to live as normal as possible ๐Ÿซ

On the bright side, it's given us more quality time with each other, helped us re-focus our dreams and goals and provided a chance to visit somewhere new (Sri Lanka) and return to the place I love the most (Spain) โ™ฅ๏ธ

Despite the roller-coaster, we are all ok x

09/03/2026

Thank you to everyone who keeps checking in. It's hard to properly put into words about everything going on here, especially when each day is a bit of a roller-coaster.

๐‘ฎ๐’†๐’๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’๐’š, ๐’˜๐’† ๐’‡๐’†๐’†๐’ ๐’”๐’‚๐’‡๐’†.

We're encouraged to go about our lives as normal as we can, but remain vigilant and cautious. Kids are still playing outside, services continue, everything is still open and shelves are stocked. People are still smiling at strangers and our communities are staying connected and informed. Everyone is ready to help each other out. Life almost feels normal.

But there is no denying the underlying concern we have about everything going on around us and what is still to come. It is strange to feel calm and safe, but also scared and uncertain about the future at the same time. But right now, that is how it is, and it's ok.

There's still so much more to say and process, and maybe I'll share that in time. Until then, we're holding onto our loved ones tightly, and praying for the safety of all our friends and family ๐Ÿ™
